LOUISE GUIDRY

"My work focuses primarily on the dynamic interplay between color and texture, using acrylic paint, composition leaf, found objects, paper and fabric on canvas or board.  I also produce encaustic monotypes on hand made paper from Nepal or India.  Each piece is an ongoing visual diary of thoughts, memories and sketches of the great natural beauty of my immediate environment, and places I have visited.  A magic mixture of sun and shadow, land and water, architecture, sacred elements, and a diversity of cultures, have given me a great wealth of inspiration from which I produce my art."

CATHERINE SIRACUSA

"Who's life isn't complex these days? The art work I produce is a direct reflection of the complex layers of my world. I appreciate how small favors and simple kind words or a passing smile have a way of melting away some of life's harshness. I translate these favors and kindnesses into intimate colorful mixed media images as my expression of gratitude. This small collection consists of encaustic paintings on fabric and paper, embellished with threads, glass beads and buttons."
